Issue 1 - WORDS FROM THE WISE

One of my heroes in life is Ed Oakley.  Ed is an incredibly successful colleague in our industry.  As founder and CEO of Enlightened Leadership Solutions, Ed and his team have helped thousands of individuals and organizations all over the world.  He is ahead of his time in looking at the issues that businesses and individuals face, and is fearless in his relentless pursuit of excellence in helping his clients succeed.

Ed shared five questions that all of us should be asking as 2009 begins.  I thought my readers would enjoy thinking about and responding to these questions, so I am reprinting them here.  If you'd like to share any feedback, we'll be happy to share it with your fellow readers in coming issues of Power Ideas.

THE FIVE GREAT QUESTIONS WE ALL SHOULD BE ANSWERING!

1.  What successes have I had over the past year that I am grateful for?

2.  What is the most inspiring vision or objective I have that will move me forward in 2009?

3.  What specific challenges or obstacles do I need to overcome in order to achieve the success that I want in 2009?

4.  What could I do more, better, or differently in 2009 to improve my results?

5.  What can I do right now, today, to begin moving toward the achievement of my goals?

I hope that you find these questions as inspiring as I do.  In these days of economic challenges there are opportunities all around us...all we need to do is look for them.

If you enjoyed Ed's questions and want to gain more knowledge from one of my heroes, order one of his books, Enlightened Leadership or Leadership Made Simple by contacting our Client Relations Coordinator, Renee Koerper at renee@houstonpartnersinternational.com.  We look forward to hearing from you.

Have a Great Week!
Jerry
