Be Thankful For Each Other
Have you ever thought about how thankful we each should be for our relationships at work?
Oh, I know that work is just the place where we make our living; however, I would like you to think about these 10 things that we should be thankful for at our place of business.
1. Be Thankful that we have jobs. Many people don't and wish they did.
2. Be Thankful that we are able to provide for our families.
3. Be Thankful that we have meaningful work to do every day.
4. Be Thankful that there is so much work to do and so many problems to solve that we can't get them done today and will need to come in and work on them tomorrow.
5. Be Thankful that we work for someone who also works hard every day, even though they may not be perfect.
6. Be Thankful that our customers continue to honor us with their business, even though we don't always live up to our promises.
7. Be Thankful that our work provides us with self-satisfaction and the opportunity for personal growth.
8. Be Thankful that our company provides us with benefits and a sense of financial security (even though we're sure we deserve more!).
9. Be Thankful that we are entrusted with our area of responsibility and given the latitude to handle situations as we see fit (most of the time).
10. Be Thankful for all of the wonderful friendships we have developed amongst our co-workers.
At Houston Partners International, we are eternally grateful for all of the wonderful relationships we have with our customers, strategic and alliance partners, trade partners, associates, and staff. What makes the toils of our labors worth the effort is the opportunity to interact with all of you, and hopefully enrich your lives as much as you have enriched ours.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
